1st Trimester

I dont feel pregnant....

I am 6 weeks pregnant but I dont have any of the symptoms that I have been seeing a lot of people writing about.  Yes I am exhausted and my boobs are really sore but my smell is normal, my eating is normal, and I havent really been nauseous at all.  Its almost alarming to me that I dont have any major symptoms even though I know that is, I suppose lucky for me?

Should I be concerned about this or just happy that Im not puking my brains out??

Also Im new to the boards so Hello everyone!!

  • Be happy that you're not puking your brains out!

I haven't had many symptoms except those that you described... sore boobs and being really tired.  But I just saw the baby kicking around yesterday and I got to hear his/her heart beating strong at 170 bpm.

I hope you continue to feel as good as you've been feeling!

  • Exhausted and boobs being sore are symptoms. To be honest, half the time I forget that I am KTFU and I am willing to bet I am not the only one.

  • Not everyone gets those symptoms, be happy! I was only sick 4-6 times and am NOT complaining! It's very normal to not feel pregnant at 6 wks. I didn't even find out until I was 6 1/2 and my symptoms didn't really kick in until 7 wks. Some women don't get sick at all!

  • Not directed to you, and doesn't answer your question at all, OP, but I get soooo annoyed when people are upset they aren't sick..like there's something to worry about. I don't need a reminder that I am pregnant by being sick so stop telling me I am lucky that I feel like crap.

OP, be happy you arent sick. I was good until I was about 10 weeks, and then shitt hit the fan. No bueno.

  • I never really got sick with my little one. I had a great pregnancy but my sister was the complete oposite sick the entire 9 months. So I would be happy with no symptoms this time around as well.

  • Hi!  I'm almost 6 weeks and only have sore boobs so I guess we're either lucky or it will hit us soon.  I forget all the time and then it's like, woah.  Instead of a wave of nauseau it's a wave of reality :)  A good wave though!
  • Thanks everyone.  Im not complaining that Im not getting sick. Im really happy about it because my sister puked her guts out for her entire first trimester, so I am grateful that I am not.  But I get paranoid and think that it means that maybe something is wrong.  Thank you everyone, I feel better.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one!! My boobs are also sore, have a little cramping that my Dr. said is normal, and I get a little nauseous here and there, but I haven't had anything major and haven't thrown up at all, so I don't "feel" so pregnant yet. I guess I should feel fortunate that I haven't felt sick all the time, but I hope after seeing my baby for the first time on Monday it will feel more real! :)

  • Angi, we are on the exact same schedule!! Maybe we can bounce stuff off of eachother since we should be going through the same things at the same time over the next few months!

  • It's so funny...sometimes I get jealous of other bumpies symptoms, even though I know it's completely illogical. But I want my pregnancy boobs, damn it! And my boobs aren't sore at all!!! LOL

BTW, sore boobs and being exhausted are symptoms. I'm sure you'll feel pregnant soon enough. Just be thankful you're not miserable like some of these ladies!

  • I am the same way. I do feel lucky that I haven't gotten sick, but it does make me question it at times.

Oh, BTW, i'm jealous that you got your first appointment in so early! None of the Dr's at my office will see pregnant women until they are 10 weeks along :/ it makes me nervous because I wasn't 10 weeks when I had my miscarriage a few years ago.

  • I know! When I first found out, I thought I was going to have to wait till 8-10 weeks, but when I called to make an appointment, she said the first week of April, so right on 7 weeks! I was really excited that I was getting in so early, too!! As far as being nervous, just try to relax and remember this is a different pregnancy. Praying for peace and health!! :) (for all of us ladies on here)!!
