2nd appointment...what to expect?

Hi ladies!
I have my second appointment set for next week and I was wondering if you could tell me what to expect at the second appointment?  At my first appointment we had an ultrasound, heard the heartbeat, bloodwork and a pap.  I didn't know if I would have the chance to hear the heartbeat again?

I think it depends a lot on your doctor.  My OB said she likes to do an ultrasound at every appointment, just to check for fetal heart tones and make sure everything is going well.

Every dr is different but in my experience it's the basic and boring pee in a cup, blood pressure, weight check kind of thing. At some point they start measuring your belly with a tape measure but I forget when the starts--I think it's in the 2nd/3rd tri. If the curiosity is really killing you call the drs office and the front desk ladies can usually tell you what to expect at your exact practice.
