At my second O/B appointment, during my physical the doctor made a comment that she was having a hard time finding the edge of my uterus and I may have a retroverted uterus. I know that there are still chances of me having a natural, vaginal delivery and having no problems. But I was wondering if any other mommy to be's or mommys have this issue and what their thoughts were? I don't want to have a c-section, I'm against it due to my drug free birth plan. I am only 12 weeks but I am still freaking out.
Re: Retroverted Uterus
I have a retroverted uterus and my RE said it doesn't matter a bit or cause any issues with getting PG or delivering vaginally. Your uterus will likely "right" itself as your PG progresses.
FWIW - my mom and sister both have a retroverted uterus and had no issues getting PG - my mom delivered my brother, sister and I vaginally and my sister delivered one of her son's vaginally. She only had to deliver her 2nd son via C-section b/c he was breech, which can happen to anyone.
