Heartbeat?

I have my first OB appt on Friday.  My husband is been dead-set on us having twins, which kind of freaks me out.  I'm not high risk or anything, so I'm only expecting to have an u/s at 20 weeks like I did in my first pregnancy.  So, I'm just wondering if the dr would be able to hear two heartbeats if there are twins.  Thanks for help in advance!

    Yes, they'll be able to hear the heartbeat whether it's twins or a singleton. I had my first u/s at 7w5d and both babies had very strong heartbeats.

    Shes asking about hearing heartbeats on a doppler not an u/s. And they might be able to hear two heartbeats if they tried. Since theres no real reason to think its twins I can't imagine they would try though.
