Athena is awesome, solid, and uncommon. Aiden is the most popular name for boys now, and will be next year too when you take in to account all the spellings. If that doesn;t bother you, then go for it. At least you spelled it correctly.
I love Athena. Aiden is way too popular for my taste, and I don't understand the appeal regardless.

I really like Athena! But I think Aiden is so lackluster and boring paired with it. The "-ayden" trend can go jump off a bridge, I hate that it's got a legitimate name like Aiden all mixed up in it. But if you two love it and are comfortable with the trend then ditto pp, it's a solid name and spelled right so no true complaints.

I don't like either.
Athena I don't like only because my husband's best friend has a HUGE snake and her name is Athena - so it's an association thing for me.
I don't like the Aiden trend.
I will say, though, at least they're both legitimate names!
Athena.
Not so much on Aiden.

I agree with everyone else that Athena is awesome and Aiden is way, way too popular.
Which is too bad, because I really liked it a decade ago.
