Whenever I'm home alone with DD, I put her in the family room while I use the restroom. I keep the door open so I can see/hear her but it doesn't matter how fast I am, she's like a rocket! I have never seen the girl crawl so fast until I have to go! She gets in the room with me and then proceeds to pull up to stand using my knees - this is not a good time!! I'm a fast pooper but not as fast as her. I'm just not a fan of her holding on to my knees during potty time. Oh and it's like she knows when it's only pee and could care less to join me. Anyone else dealing with this???
Re: How do YOU go #2?
LMAO! Oh, the old tampon trick....never thought of that.
DS is not crawling yet so I guess it's a little easier for me. If we are downstairs I put him in the jumperoo or highchair and run upstairs. If we are already upstairs, I will put him in the crib and do what I have to do.
We actually have a bathroom on our first floor, but the pipe froze several years ago so we can't use it. I have asked DH if we can use some of our tax return to finally get it fixed. That will be a lifesaver once LO can crawl/walk and I gotta go!
LOL! I bring DD in the bathroom as well. She's mobile, so I have to bring her everywhere or I can try to put her in her crib for a few minutes alone, but she usually cries when she can't see me. Lately, she's been entertaining herself by pulling up on the bathtub and/or opening and shutting the cabinet doors.

BFP!! 8/29/16 --> EDD: 5/11/17....it's a GIRL!!!
I used to bring DS into the bathroom with me, but recently he discovered the trash, so I had to come up with a new strategy (plus he always ended up wanting to sit on my lap, which was a bit awkward).
Now I put up a gate in the doorway so he can look at me and talk to me without getting into stuff in the bathroom, usually I put some favorite toys in front of him too. It kind of works, but he spends most of the time standing at the gate, banging for me to let him in.
Sometimes I roll my bathroom time and getting dressed/ready time together and just set him in front of Baby Einstein (something I swore I would never do
).
I either bring him in the bathroom with me, or I'll use the bathroom that is off his room and I'll put him in his crib.
Yep! Or I give her a bath book or toy to play with.
i've been a menstrual cup user for years, but i still have a bunch of tampons lying around. i'm not going to use them, so i don't mind if the kids use them as toys.
This is why it's great having an older kid! D keeps him occupied for me! I can leave them in the living room playing and D keeps A entertained!
When I had just D, he was a very happy baby so I could just corral him in the living room with the baby gate and run down the hall to the bathroom
