Holy Headache!!!

So out of nowhere yesterday I got this horrific headache!  Made sure I ate lunch and then took two tylenol.  After 10 mins of no help, I took a two hour nap hoping when I woke up I would feel better.  No such luck, so I napped some more.  Woke up and still felt like my head was going to explode so went and bought and ice pack.  Praying that would work....prayers were not answered.  LOL.  Remembering that headaches like this were sorta common as a teen and throwing up was the only thing to make it go away, I did what anyone else would do and went and threw up.  DH was so amazing and came in to pat my back as I was hugging the porcelian God.  Was in bed and sleeping again by 9:30.  Luckily I was off from work yesterday for a dr appointment and was able to nap to help ease the pain, but today I'm at work and I can feel that darn thing creeping up on me again.  UGH!   I swear I'd rather have m/s than deal with this all day!!!  Any suggestions or rememdies that you all have found to be helpful so that I don't have to visit the porcelain God while at work?!?!?!  TIA

Re: Holy Headache!!!

  • Try caffeine - it helps a lot of people.  But you may end up one of the unforunate few (like me) who it didn't help.  I ended up with a prescription for Fioricet when I was pregnant and it was awesome.  Feel better.

  • I don't have any other than drinking lots of water. I have been getting really bad headaches at night. I almost feel feverish, but then it goes away by morning. I do think I'm dehydrated though. It's hard to chug water when you have bad m/s. hang in there!
  • I actually have a cherry coke today to help with the nasaeau coming from the headache.  Took two tylenol a little bit ago so hoping that helps.  Good to know that there is something that could be called in if I need it.  Thanks!

  • I am having that headache today too...but I live in Georgia and the whole city is covered in yellow (pollen). We had our first rain in about 4 days so hopefully when I leave tonight it will be better.

Believe my headache is related to pollen but I feel your pain.

  • I live in PA so was wondering the same.  Hopefully it passes by the weekend.  If not I'll definitely be calling the doctor for a prescription as I am prone to migraines.
