So here's my story. Was working today, when out of nowhere I felt like I was going to fAint. So I sat down on a chair, then on the floor. After the black started to fade i became extremely shaky, and my heart was racing. It was so embarrassing. The room was filled with therapists, an Orthotist, and patients. I'm a pediatric physical therapist.
Anyway, finally got the ob to see me after two calls. Have had ectopic before and was also having lower right pain. Internal us saw only gestational sac no yolk. Measured 5 weeks 3 days. Lmp 2/15. She consulted with the other mds and decided to send me to hospital for immediate labs and repeat u/s.
Hgc came out to be 5000. Will repeat on Sunday. U/ s tech said sac less than 5 Weeks, but possible glimmer of yolk sac and a cyst or 2. But tubes looked clear.
I'm trying to stay positive and hoping for a yolk sac and hb next u/s.
Anyone else have similar near fainting symptoms or u/s results? Still don't understand why that happened.
Thanks for reading and hoping to hear any advice u ladies have. Really enjoyed my time here with my first dd. Almost 2 now.
Re: U can't make this up!
I had a near fainting spell in the shower right around 5 weeks. I was standing in the shower and had to sit down really quickly because I felt I was either going to puke, pass out or both! I've fainted in the shower before and that was painful so I knew I'd better sit down quickly!
Dizziness and feeling faint is common - your body is working hard making more blood and your hormones are going crazy right now. Just be careful and sit or lay down right away if you feel a spell coming on - don't be embaressed. Also make sure you get up very slowly if you've been laying or sitting down for a long while.
I hope you get great news at your next u/s! You're still very early for the u/s to detect very much.

That exact same thing happened to me in the shower and I sat down immediately. I think I was around 6 weeks at the time, but I've had these issues even before getting pregnant and have no idea why. Fiance only lets me take a shower when he's home now so he can check on me periodically and help me if I faint. Also standing or sitting up too quickly has also made me feel dizzy, and I've been trying really hard to slow down.
To OP: I hope that your next u/s shows goes well!
