Worried to tell my children im pregnant!

Hello Everyone! Im new here! I am about 6 weeks along with my third child. I have two older children 9 and 6 from a previous marriage and I am scared to death to tell my children I am pregnant. I worry how they will react and how this will all affect them. Any suggestions from anyone in a similar situation?

I was 8 years old when my mom got pregnant with my little sister. When she told me, I was devastated because I had been the only child for so long. Of course, I eventually got over it and embraced my new role as the Big Sister and I loved it!

 To make the news less traumatic than my mom did for me, I would recommend making this a fun announcement. Build it up like a big surprise and maybe even give them each a "big brother" or "big sister" gift!  My mom made the mistake of telling me I was going to be a big sister by having a "sit down discussion" with me and acting very cautious.

I also think the more included you make them feel in preparing for the baby the better they will handle it. Let them know you are going to count on them for help and how much you appreciate what they do.
