About First Appt.

I had a US at 6w3d and seen the heartbeat.. I called my OB office and told them I have been really sick.My Appt is Tomorrow She tell me that they will not try to hear the baby's heartbeat til 11w . I have not heard of the Ob waiting that long have you? All I want to know if our baby is ok.

Did you make the appt. because you're sick or because you want to hear the HB? most dr won't do the Doppler until later on I believe - at least mine doesn't. If you want to hear the HB so badly you should buy one yourself!!!

We couldn't pick up DD's heartbeat at my 12 week appointment, so I didn't get to hear it until 16 wks.  They have to get a little bigger before you can actually hear anything on the doppler.

My OB tried yesterday I was 12weeks and they couldn't find it. I think it's pretty normal for some people not to hear it until 15-16 weeks. As long as you see it on the US it's there good luck!
