One of the local news stations has a reporter named Macradee. I cringe every time she's on the news.

    I'm not sure which is worse...having Macradee for a real name or choosing it for your stage name...

    I would have pronounced that Mack-ra-dee...... or Mack-RAY-dee. What a weird name. I agree - as a given name or a stage name it is horrendous.

    One of our local newscasters is of West African descent - Nnenka Nuosu.  I love it, it's just the side of pronouncable and it's pretty

    This is a prime example of why you should choose a fake name. Jeez, that's a bad name. I work in the television industry, and used to work in TV news, and for on air talent a name is really important.  If I were here I'd change her on air name to "Ann McCrady"
