2nd Trimester

Tell me about your diaper bag for 2

I am trying to find a new diaper bag for when our new LO comes. DD will be almost 2 1/2 and I'm expecting her to be out of diapers by then (we're about 1/2 way there!). So I will just want to have a change of clothes for her plus a few toys and snacks. Then of course all of the stuff for the newborn. Also we are CDing so I will need lots of room and lots of pockets. My current diaper bag is very plain and only has 2 side pockets. It's too disorganized. If you are or plan to be in a similar situtation, can you tell me which diaper bag you recommend? Thanks!

  • I also CD our DS who will be 2 when LO arrives.  I've been keeping my eye on this one:

I've seen it in person and you can get a TON in there and even though its hard to see from the image there are outside pockets, which I like a lot.

I'm interested to see other options though!

  • My DS and DD will be pretty close to that age range although DS will probably not be potty trained. I went with the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack. I had the Touring Tote for DS and it was great, but not big enough for 2. This bag looks big and has several carrying options. The thing that you might like is that they have a zip out wetbag that would work for CDs.

  • Im not sure what your budget is... I had the coach bag and returned it.. i was happy with it.

Someone bought me this bag https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4400983&searchURL=false

And I love it... Its large, has tons of pockets inside and out, has seperate compartments for so many things, and also a little storage bag for wet clothes etc.

    Its super cheap!

  • I just ordered it and will get it later this week but I am getting the JuJuBe Be Prepared. I will have 3u3. We use disposables, not CD. But I think it's going to be a nice big bag that can hold a TON, including bottles, sippys, 3 diff sizes of diapers, and even enough room for my stuff, so I don't need a separate purse.

    Here's a great comparison video I found:

ETA: This bag is expensive, $200, but I think it will be worth it.

  • This is the one that I have and I LOVE it! It has 4 inside pockets, I inside sip pocket, 2 magnetic pockets on the outside both on front and back and 2 cup holders one on either end. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.

  • I am actually thinking of just using a backpack.  We did that after awhile with DS and it just seemed so much more comfortable and easier to get to things in the bag.
