First OB Appt. and DHA Rec ?

We had our first OB appointment this morning. We were referred to the office by our RE and the practice seemed great! I had encountered some anti-IVF sentiments in previous interactions with medical staff, but everyone at the office seemed truly happy for us! I'll rotate staff throughout the pregnancy, but I liked that they won't automatically label me as high-risk just because of the twin pregnancy. I'll have more ultrasounds, but they won't make any serious decisions on bed rest or specialty referrals unless they are needed. They seemed pretty laid back, which suits me just fine! We were lucky to have another ultrasound and both babies look fabulous with matching heartbeats of 171! Baby A was even dancing a bit during the ultrasound .

My RE prescribed Vitafol as my prenatal vitamin, but the OB wants me to take DHA as well. He said it is up to me, but that he recommends it as long as I can stomach the additional pill. I've been taking my vitamins just before bed, but last night was the first night I threw up the actual pill. Any recommendations for a DHA supplement that is a bit easy on my tummy?

Glad you found a practice you are comfortable with, that is the hardest thing sometimes.  As for DHA, I take the Target brand one...it is made from plants, not fish, so no yucky fishy burps.

I also use the Target Up and Up DHA supplements. 

Like PP said, they are plant based so no fishy burps and they have never caused me any stomach problems.

Since I switched to a PNV when we got our BFP, I asked for one that has DHA in it.  All in one pill   Can you have your prescription changed?

Congrats on a great appt!  I use the Women's One-A-Day PNV with DHA - 2 separate pills.  I have learned to take it right before I go to sleep, like, while lying in bed.  I went through a phase where I was throwing up my PNVs every night for a while, then I learned to wait until I was lying in bed to take them.
