Update to Spotting Post below

I went to the doctor and he didn't seem overly concenred about the bleeding . He did an exam and saw that there was no current bleeding (phew!) and then went onto the doppler. He couldn't hear anything, but he said it's common to not be able to hear yet at 10 weeks. So we went to the u/s. He apologized for his lack of u/s technique (seriously, he had no clue what he was doing) but he found the baby, we watched it move around for a bit and then he told me the hearbeat was about 160.

So no need to worry, he said it's pretty common in pregnancy and to just relax - and try and beef up my fiber content, maybe take some collace!

Glad you got to hear the heartbeat. That is weird that your Dr. doesn't know how to use an ultrasound??? It must not be an RE, but even an OBGYN should be a pro at that by now!!

it's my OBGYN (i switched last week) and the office typically sends folks out for u/s, they just have one (very dated) machine in the back of the office to use if they can't get anything on the doppler. I get the impression that some of the doctors are better at using it than the others, but regardless they have an office u/s tech - she just doesn't work on Mondays.

Definite change from the RE!

I kinda thought so too. But congrats, that must be such a relief! Very glad to hear it.
