I like violet a lot but it is becoming so popular. I was thinking how do you feel about violetta instead. At first I didn't like it but it's starting to grow on me. The DH also doesn't care for violet but really likes violetta.

Hmmm. I don't hate it, but I am also not sure. I love the name Violet, but I am hesitant to mess with it. Honestly, only 0.13% of babies were named Violet in 2010; it isn't what I'd call popular, personally. Do you know a lot of kids named Violet where you live?

This name is a little confusing to me. Is it pronounced "vy-LET-uh"?

Edit: Or are you pronouncing it like the PP mentioned?

I think it has to do some with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. Whenever celebs use a name it gets more popular. However, I don't hear Violet all that often and still prefer it over Violetta.

I feel like I have just been hearing it a lot and I look for it to grow. I do still prefer violet though also. Thank you guys for the feedback more to think about.
