My baby just turned 6 months and I can't get her to sleep through the night if I put her in the crib any earlier than 9:30. She wakes up about 7:00am. I know lots of babies sleep 12 hours at this age so I am very interested to know if there are other babies out there like mine. I don't mind that she is up later because it gives me more time with her, I just wonder if its forming a bad sleep habit. Anyone have a similar situation or experience with a night owl? Thanks!
Re: 6 month old bedtimes?
We also have a 9-9:30pm bedtime, wake-up to eat around 7am, back to sleep until 9am when we start the day. Our pediatrician said whatever bedtime/wake-up time works with our schedule is absolutely fine, as long as she is getting enough sleep in a 24 hour period.
Lately, though, DD has been waking around 7am and trying to stay awake to play and start the day then. Not sure if she is still thrown off by daylight savings, so waiting to see if we are just having a blip in the schedule or if she is changing the whole routine. I think she's just trying to keep me on my toes
DS has been going to bed at 7:30 for months now. I wish it was later, because he is up between 4:30-5:30am daily. Most of the time I can get him back down til 6:30, but not always. I have also tried to keep him up later, but it was a epic fail.
All LOs are different, but in our case DS would never be able to stay up til 9:30. Did you ever try putting down earlier?
