I am 14 weeks and can't wait to start shopping! I have been to BuyBuyBaby a couple times just looking at stuff, but have never really bought anything except a couple onesies. I wanted to wait and find out our baby's gender first, but I am just too excited!
what about you.. have you started your baby shopping yet???
Re: what have you bought so far?
We just found out we're having a girl a couple weeks ago. Have you discovered Zulily yet?? They have the most adorable kids clothes, with crazy discounts! So far, I've place 4 orders. Other than those, I haven't bought anything because I'm having a shower in May and know I'll get a lot of stuff! I started registering for stuff though and that is great fun!
Clothes, baby hangers, clothes, baby hangers...haha! Actually, most of the clothes are from my mom and sisters but I've bought a few really special things plus my sis and I couldn't resist purchasing a matching outfit for my baby and her (step) daughter because she's 4 and crazy excited about the baby.
Also purchased:
- mattress pad and crib sheet (got a great deal, will obviously need more than 1 of each)
- Beco Butterfly II carrier
- Uppa Baby Vista stroller
- Elfa Closet System from the Container Store
I can't think of anything else, really.
This weekend, we will be paying the deposit on the wood floors we're having installed in the nursery, office, and our closet (the only rooms with carpet in our house still). It's sorta a baby expense since we were waiting until we were pg to do it...definitely a large expense, yay.
We've purchased almost everything that we're not registering for! We already have:
All baby's furniture
Most of our cloth diapering supplies (25 diapers, wet bags, extra inserts)
Stroller
Carriers (Ergo and K'Tan)
Co-sleeper
Misc. clothes and books that were great deals I couldn't pass up.
DIAPERS DIAPERS DIAPERS...and wipes
Until you can start shopping for your specific gender, start the diaper stocking!! First trip we make with every paycheck is to Costco for another box. I know we will be happy we started so early
My parents are buying our crib as a gift, so we have that picked out for them to order. It's classic and white, which will go with either.
Now that we know we have a girl on the way, the clothes have started coming in
Don't worry...you'll get plenty of shopping in!! To help hold me over, aside from diaper and wipe shopping, I bought basics...a few bottles, plain white Gerber onesies, etc.
Happy Shopping!!
well I still have stuff from ds,
but I did buy a new video monitor, rock n play sleeper, new diaper bag, nursing cover, breast pump and one outfit.
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
I have only bought a 2pack of pacifiers...
We are going to use DS1 crib and dresser, and I saved everything from DS...so I have a lot of stuff LOL. My mom bought this baby his bedding, so I have that too
Nothing! All the "big" stuff we got for DS is neutral. DS was also an August baby, so all of our stuff should be age/season appropriate too.
We'll need to buy another crib & furniture and possibly clothes (if it's a girl) but won't start shopping until we know the sex (11 days left!).
DS2 8/21/12
DD 9/26/14
Baby #4 edd 2/11/19
The only thing I bought was the belly band for myself which I haven't started to wear yet.
When I go shopping I take a look at clothes and baby stuff but I plan to wait a few more weeks until I go shopping for all things baby will need. We picked out nursery furniture and will order soon. MIL is planning a shower so we will get some things then but I want to have most things purchased & nursery set up about one month before I'm due.
Absolutely nothing. But this is our second and we plan on reusing a lot of stuff, plus we are moving soon.
With my first we ordered the crib around 15wks and waited to start buying anything else till we found out for sure what we were having which was around 25-26wks.

Trying to hold off until the shower to buy anything else... But I'm sure it will be so hard!
I've bought 3 onsies. I'm pretty sure we're going to be team green (again) and all my big stuff from DD is in a neutral pattern.
Crib, mattress, bassinet, pack n play and lots of clothes!!
