Preggo brain and guilty conscience!

So I knew I was running out of gas, but I was so tired last night that I drove home and decided to get it this morning.  For some reason I completely forgot and ended up running out of gas this afternoon at a very busy intersection.  I had just called my husband to come get me (who was super pissed that I was so moronic) and some really nice guy pulls over and apparently had gone to the gas station for me to grab a gallon of gas so I could make it to the nearest gas station.  I was so flustered and out of it that I didnt even get his information or anything to pay him back.  Now do I not only feel like an idiot, but I feel bad I couldnt pay this guy back for helping me...other than profusely thanking him for all his help. 

Someone please tell me something similar happened to them so I dont feel like such a train wreck!

    Sorry.. nothing similar... but I'm sure that guy didn't expect anything... pay him back by remembering what he did for you and doing something nice for someone else... I'd do the same for anyone and I'm sure you would too!

    Goodness I have done this too and I wasn't even pregnant at the time!  I did the same thing, was too lazy to get it one night, needed it in the morning but forgot and got on the interstate to go home where I ran out of gas and pulled over.  My BOSS pulled over to help me, so embarrassing!!! He joked about it for weeks!  Between this and my post from a few mins ago I sound like a horribly forgetful person -yikes!! Dont worry your not alone!

    I agree that all you owe anyone is to pay it forward. And tell your husband to shut his trap because you know he's done stupid things too (locked keys in car, locked self out of house, left gas cap off at gas station, left coffee cup on roof, etc)LOL

    I hope you're able to bless someone's day soon! Don't feel guilty.
