Mom of boys who've had adhesion

Not sure if this is whats going on, as we've never had this issue before. Around about half of the head of LOS penis its all red and obviously sensitive when I clean it. I noticed it last night in the bath when I was washing him. Its not bleeding or swollen. We do have an apt with his pedi this afternoon. Just wondering from those of you who have experience with this type of issue, does it sound like an adhesion? Or something else?

I think adhesions are really when the skin has reattached to the rim of the penis.  My son's wasn't red at all, but I noticed that his "mushroom cap" was slightly covered by skin.  In fact it was barely noticeable and not red at all.  The doctor literally just tugged at the skin that was attached around the rim, and at that point it was red because she had pulled back that skin that had attached.  I was just told to keep pulling it back and putting vaseline. This link shows a great pic of an adhesion, which is figure 7, which is exactly how DS looked.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out its a bacterial infection, but its not too bad. Cream for a few days and it should be all cleared up.
