I'm sure this has been posted before, but I'm a FTM and thinking I should probably pick up a book or two. What are/were your favorite books? Or ones to skip completely?
I'm considering natural childbirth and I definitely prioritize exercising and eating well. My parents think I'm a little bit of a hippie.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!
Re: Book recommendations?
I HIGHLY recommend Ina May's Guide to Childbirth - I read it both with DD#1 and again this time. I also loved my From the Hips book - very REAL. Like having a conversation with a bunch of girlfriends who've already been down the pregnancy/childbirth road.
FYI - I posted here last night (scroll down) and am selling 5 books for only the cost of shipping. Click here if you are interested...

I too recommend the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy. I purchased a whole stack of books (more on delivery) but this is the only one I've read so far. I also would skip the What to Expect books, but that is personal preference.
I'm also considering natural childbirth and did a lot of reviews. There are the three I've purchased, although like I mentioned before, I haven't read them yet.
Ina May's Childbirth, Natural Hospital Birth the best of both worlds, and Birthing from Within
edit: corrected title
The Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth is great, it's a huge book that even goes into infant care.
I do not like the What to Expect series either. It's as Heidi Murkhoff set out to write books that make women feel guilty and scared.
