1st OB appointment

I had it earlier today and it seemed kind of anti-climactic to me.  He said I was officially dated by the RE and everything looked good.  My annual was in december, so he barely even gave me an exam.  Just gave me some paperwork, told me what to sign up for, and felt my uterus.  I won't be having another u/s till my 1st trimester screening in 2 weeks, and since it's too early to hear the heartbeat, I'm kind of freaking out. 

Just kind of bummed out I wasn't able to see my little bean and make sure it's ok!

compared to what I was used to at the RE, OB appts are SO BORING!! Step on this scale, pee in this cup, and have a nice day. Hope you get to see your little bean soon!

mine was the same way, nothing too exciting, the only exciting part, was that my ob was over the moon to see me back there pregnant, she really took an interest in our case when we first started seeing her, and she would call my RE to check up on us periodically, so it was nice to just see her.

A lot of the time the OB's u/s machines aren't as sensitive as the RE's. Thats why most of them wait until 12 weeks to do an u/s and also send patients out for the big scans, NT and A/S.

We get spoiled at the RE, but the RE visits are also WAY more expensive than on OB visit!!

First Tri can be very scary, but you will see the LO in 2 weeks!! Just keep thinking of that!!

Hope you get to see your bean soon!  I wasn't expecting an U/S at my first OB appt, but I think she wanted to look since it is twins and she went through IVF herself.

I was so shocked.  It seemed like after all we've been through, someone should be doing something more than just talking to me!  Don't they realize what a big deal this is!  It's quite a let down to suddenly be a normal ole pregnant chick.

Hope your 2 weeks passes quickly.  Ha, and you just thought 2ww's were over once you got that BFP!
