3rd Trimester

Baby shower was Saturday, now I am sick:-(

I had a great baby shower Saturday, but yesterday started getting a sore throat, and now feel horrible. Sore throat, congestion, drainage, stomach ache and nausea (probably from the drainage)? I feel warm, but my crappy thermometer doesn't have me above 99 degrees so I guess I won't worry.

We also had our 34 week u/s yesterday, and baby was measuring 6 1/2 lbs! Yikes! She is still breech, and our MFM said she doesn't think she will flip at this point, especially with her size, so looks like we will be talking to my OB next Wednesday about a c-section. She said they generally schedule them at 39 weeks, which would mean a Friday the 13th baby! My husband was a Friday the 13th baby, so I guess it would be good luck. And, to have her out a week early is fine with me!

  • I'm sorry you aren't feeling well:( I'm sick too and waiting on that list of what otc meds I can take.

A scheduled c-section has perks, you will know the latest your baby will be here. I am actually enjoying telling people a specific date, the only thing that would change it is if she decided to come earlier!:)

  • Here is the list my Doc gave me if you want to take something instead of waiting!! Hope you both start feeling better!

  • :( Hope you feel better soon!

How cool for both LO and DH to be Friday the 13th babies!

  • Thanks guys!

I hope our OB agrees and I can schedule it that Friday! Scared for a c-section, but labor would have freaked me out too.
