What of these items would you say are important we have before the baby gets here:
Stroller
Extra car base for dh's car
Bath towel (Honestly couldn't I just use one of our bath towels? Do I REALLY need a baby one?)
PNP
Bassinet?
First aide kit
Extra crib sheets (we have one)
Extra bobby slipcover
And a bunch of other random little things like butt cream, extra bottles, receiving blankets, mattress pad, washclothes but I'll probably just get those things as I see them on sale...?
Ok some of these I can figure out for myself but I wanted to get other people's opinions too. I'm making a BRU shopping list.?
Re: Ok now that my showers are done....
Definitely extra crib sheets and boppy covers. Unless they are sleeping somewhere other than the crib at first.
Really don't need BOTH a bassinet and PNP, just get the PNP and it can work as both. If you plan to have baby sleep there get at LEAST 2 PNP sheets.
No need for baby towels. We always just used big ones.
I would get gripe water and mylicon drops and a thermometer. They should give you the snot sucker at the hospital.
If you plan on using the bassinet for the first couple months than I would say that (we are going to use the PNP- so that would kill 2 birds)
You will want extra crib sheets- but I think the rest could wait. But what do I know... I will be in the same boat soon :-)

THanks ladies
The only reason we were getting a pnp and a bassinet is because our bedroom is too small for a pnp but if the baby went to Grandma's house she would need a pnp.
I debated having her sleep in her crib right from the beginning but I'm not sure I want to walk to her room every time she cries. So maybe I should go with the bassinet now and wait on the pnp, hmmmmm?
I don't think a bassinet is necessary at all. I'd prefer to get a pnp & use it as a bassinet if you're going to do that.
Must haves:
extra sheet or two, I'd rather already have a stroller & not have to worry about it later, first aid kit
Remember- holidays are coming up & you could ask for some of these for gifts.
Ok. Before the baby gets here you will need extra crib sheets.
No need for a bassinet. PNP works as both.
Also, PNP sheets and/or a soft quilt. The PNP sheets are really thin.
As PP said, mylicon and/or gripe water.
Regular bath towels are fine. I used the baby towels i got at my shower for the first 6 months. after the 6th month he didnt fit in them anymore.
You may want to get your stroller ahead of time. They should have some sales going on soon.
Page me if you have any questions.
