Not rolling over both ways at 8 months?

DD is almost 8 months old, she occassionally rolls over from tummy to back, but has never rolled over from back to tummy.  Would you schedule a dr. appointment to ask about this or just wait until the 9 month appointment?

DD hates laying down and ever since she learned to sit up at 6 months, she only wants to sit.  W still do tummy time at home and have asked our daycare to as well, but they don't do it all that often because she cries when they do.

My LO just did it this week and after a couple of days has become a master roller. I would wait for the 9 month appointment.

We are in the same boat, only she prefers to roll from back to tummy - at which she HATES being on her tummy.  She would be content sitting all day too.  However, I do have my older daughter to refer to in these situations and she was the same way.  I remember that it was as if all at once - in just a couple of weeks - she was crawling, from sitting.  I wouldn't stress yourself about it.  At her six month appointment - which was only two weeks ago because she was too sick for her six month and then they cancelled the new date - they weren't concerned.  They asked if she rolls onto her side, which she does all the time.  She actually falls asleep on her side.  I think her rolling is coming, the past couple of nights she has been waking up and is on the opposite end of her crib...she is showing signs of wanting to be mobile.  Not to fear - enjoy it now, while you can!!!

Ditto on what pp said - my pedi said that now that we're back to sleep, the milestone for rolling is pushed back, or sometimes not reached at all. Some babies just aren't interested in rolling either, they'd rather sit, and go right on to crawling/walking.
