brown spotting

in 3rd Trimester
So, I am 32 weeks pregnant and woke up with brown spotting this morning.  I called my doctor, who is not on duty this weekend (of course), so another doctor called me back and just said it was probably old blood and not to worry as long as I didn't have cramping/contractions and was feeling the baby move.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    Not me personally but my dr. said to be worried about bright red spotting not brown.  :)

    I've been brown spotting throughout my pregnancy.  My midwife and doctor say that same thing - old blood plus I have a friable cervix so intercourse could cause it.  If your worried, ask to come in so they can monitor the HB.
