1st Trimester

Nauseous anyone?

I looked a bit on cafe mom and found some answers - eating pretzels, saltines, etc. - and healthtap had some stuff on ginger and natural remedies.

What are your recommendations for what to take for nausea during T1?

  • Seabands. I've found that saltines work the best for me, but the bands are great for when I'm driving (I have a long commute) or just don't want people looking at me oddly for snacking on "boring crackers". Lol. I've heard that the ginger candies are awesome, too, though. Good luck!

  • Sea bands!!! 

    I got mine today and they are working so well! They did not completely get rid of the sickness but enough so that I can get through the day :)  

  • With my first pregnancy I found that sipping on water throughout the day and eating raw fruits and veggies worked best for me.  I also snacked on ginger chews and ginger snaps on occasion.  I also took my prenatal and DHA at night before bed.

    With this pregnancy nothing seems to work.  I have tried everything and some days I'm lucky if there's a couple hours that I actually feel okay.  OB put me on Zofran and it's made a huge difference.  I don't plan to use it when I'm at home or on the weekends.  It's more so that I'm not needing to vomit at work.


     
  • Sea bands have worked good for me so far. I use them at work and when I feel nausea coming on. I highly recommend them.
