  • oh poop I was going to suggest babies r us.  I am in alberta too and we aren't using a bassinet so I haven't really noticed them.  I think Sears has some that might not be too yucky.  Also maybe some of the independent baby stores.  Where in Alberta are you?  In Calgary I am thinking Kaz Kids (sp. is wrong) or BoBebe.

  • I'm not getting a bassinet, but I am getting a Playard with  bassinet in it.  We are getting the Graco Travel Lite Barcelona from Sears.  It is slightly smaller than a regular PnP so it will fit nicely beside our bed and we can take it for overnight trips to the IL's.

OP, I was going to suggest BRU too. I liked the ones I saw.

  • We're not using a bassinet. We bought a PNP with a bassinet (not a newborn napper) specifically so we can bring the baby on overnight visits with us (to the cottage, to visit granny 3 hours away, etc). We got our's from BRU. We also chose not to go with a bassinet because a) I couldn't find any I liked, and b) We might only use it for maybe 4-6 weeks if at all. We may not have the baby in our room at all, so I felt that getting a bassinet would make me feel obligated to use it instead of keeping our options open.
