We are going to be taking a 2 day trip for Easter to visit family. I'd love to show off DS's cloth diapers, but I'm not sure how we are going to transport his dirty diapers. The portable wetbag I have just isn't going to cut it for a trip that long, especially since he's still at the age where he's wetting every couple hours. I'm not really looking forward to a 5 hour drive smelling dirty diapers the whole way.
What would you ladies suggest? Extra wetbags? A plastic bin? Trash bag?
Re: Travelling with Diapers
I would probably wash at the family's place if possible. Otherwise maybe get a bigger wetbag with a zipper?
Also if you are going to wash, make sure you bring everything you need to wash so that you don't have to worry about what your family has.
We have a smaller version of this that we use (ours holds about 12 diapers). If we need something bigger to hold 25+ diapers, we used an old dry bag (that used to be for canoeing/camping) and it works wonderfully. Absolutely no stink gets out, and when it's empty it rolls up pretty small. To clean it, I turn it inside out and wipe it down.I think the 30 or 40 L would hold quite a few diapers!
