Wool and HE machines

So I'm attempting washing my soakers for the first time. Everywhere I've looked it says to soak them in Eucalan (sp?) and to put the soaker AND water into washer set to final spin. I"m at my mom's using her HE machine (not familiar with her washer) can I put the water into the washer, no right? should I just skip the water part and just spin them with out water? TIA!

I always wash my wool by hand.

Yep.  You want to spin them without water....this will just help to gently get a lot of the remaining water out of your wool.  If you add water to the spin all the lanolin will be washed away.
