you already bought....? yes im preparing early because I may not to be able to/or frankly wont want to get off the couch later in my pg. We already bought our stroller (OMG ALERT THE MEDIA) we had a really hard time finding matching doubler stroller and car seats. so much was out of stock. i guess i'm just a little surprised about all the comments that come with a twin pregnancy

I'm not a last minute person and really like to be prepared.  We bought things starting in the second trimester, and super happy we did.  We bought a little here and a little there, and then waited until after the baby shower, and then finished up our shopping.  There is nothing wrong with me prepared ahead of time...you are after all having twins and they do tend to be here earlier than most babies.  Don't let people make you feel bad for getting things ahead of time.

We bought a minivan tonight. A MINIVAN. We also already have cribs and convertible car seats. We like to be prepared.

I just like to shop, whenever, where ever, and for whatever...especially baby stuff/clothes though!

LOL . .. I bought stuff early too. I didn't buy anything really big though. I suffered two second trimester losses due to an incompetent cervix .. so I have a cervical cerclage with this pregnancy. I am still really nervous about my chances of losing the babies though so haven't bought anything big like a crib. I think once I pass the 24 week mark (which is where I lost my one son) I will be more at ease and go spend crazy! I am expecting a boy and a girl.

I bought all my gear really early, I was so worried we wouldn't have everything ready for the boys.

Don't take it personally - unless these people have twins themselves, take their advice with a grain of salt.

Prepare while you have the energy. I'm so glad I did besides you never know when things will change and you will not be ableto

I wish we had done that.  My girls came early @ 32 weeks, and we were scrambling to get things done.  Not only that, but I was so big so much quicker with so little energy before the end of the 2nd tri-mester.  If I had the hind-sight I have now, I would have done all sorts of things early in the pregnancy.  So keep up the good work!  It's your pregnancy.

Lol we totally shopped ahead too!  People have NO idea how you start to feel getting into the second and third trimester...you don't feel like going out and getting a bunch of big stuff!  We have cribs, changing table, rocker, carseats, stroller, and some clothes along with diapers.  It's double as expensive too so you have to spread it out!  People will never get it.....

I agree.  We waited until we felt comfortable, but we started steadily acquiring things pretty early on.  It makes it less overwhelming!  Just like someone above, we already even traded my MINI in for a CR-V at like 26 weeks.  

 My sister's pregnant with just one right now, too, and she's doing the same thing.
