Metronidazole Tablet Side Effects?

I started taking the metronidazole tablets today for yet another infection.. About half an hour after taking it I started smelling something... Almost like a menthol/mint smell.. It's stuck in my nose and won't go away and it's everywhere... Is this normal with taking this medicine? I've never had to take this before.

    I haven't taken this medication before but from googleing it, I did read reports of metalic taste, etc. So with that in mind and your added hormones, I'm sure it could make any kind of bad taste in your mouth and nasal passages. At least you only have to take it for 7-10 days, right? Tongue Tied

    Yes just seven days.. And I've had the gel/cream twice.. This time they gave me the pills :/ Today I haven't noticed the smell so maybe it was just a weird coincidence.. But thanks ladies!
