Itchy Nipples??

Does anyone experience this around Oing?  It just started a few months ago for me.  I found some things on it when i googled, but it seemed to be mostly post O towards the end of the 2WW.  It is so embarrassing!!  While I'm at home, i don't care and will scratch away. But not so easy to handle when i'm at work. I'll be sitting at my desk and all of a sudden.........

BAM!  The worst itchy feeling of the world!  Then i'm sitting there trying to figure out other ways to move so I can get my arm to graze my chest to somewhat relieve the itch. I tried going to the restroom when it happened so I could take care of it, but it is a pretty consistent feeling.  I'd spend the whole day in the bathroom!  LOL

Yet another reason I just LOVE being a woman!

4/12: HSG All Clear
5-1-12: DX of PCOS
5-4-12: DH S/A all normal.
5-16-12: Offically start IUI#1-->Clomid(50mg) + Trigger + IUI + progesterone supplements=BFN
IUI #2-same treatment-->BFN
July IUI#3-same treatment--->BFN
Aug 22, 2012-Laparoscopy Found/Removed extensive endometreosis.
September 2012-IUI #4-Same treatment as before. BFN
October 2012-forced break/Surgery to remove abnormal cells in left breast.
November 2012-First Injects Cycle (IUI #5)! 225IU Follistim CD 3-5, then monitoring appointment. 20+ follier & e2 >2000-Mild OHSS
December 2012-#2 Injects + IUI#6): Beta 1/18/13-BFN!
Jan 2013-Starting IVF!!! BC starts Jan 17/Lupron on Feb 13/Stims on Feb 18/ER on March 1 IVF Protocol: Lupron 10 units in am until stimms. Then 5 units of Lurpon in am, 150iu of Follistim and 1 unit of Menopur in pm. Holding dosage throughtout since response has been great. Thought we would be freeze all due to OHSS, but ended up getting more follicles then expected! 14 total!!! 12 mature and 11 fertilized. Dr calls for a 5 day transfer!! :) Will freeze remaining.

    Once upon a time this happened to me. I don't recall where in my cycle, but it ended up that I had a hair (from my head) stuck to the inside of my bra. Once I took care of that, wallah!, no more itchy bewbs/nips.

    I honestly cannot say I don't recall that happening to me but it sounds like it SUCKS! :-/ I'm sorry.

    I don't get itchy nips when I'm ovulating, but I have had them during the 2ww of 2 of my positive cycles. I've never had the intensity that you're describing, though...that sounds awful!

    lol, esp at image from OP - sounds like a scene from a comedy, but I can relate!! (I think mine was a loose head hair too... heaven once I finally figured it out!)

    I had that when I was pg with DS.  Of course, it was always extra bad/noticeable in times when I couldn't do anything about it.  What a pain!  

    Of course, if we were men with itchy balls, it would be perfectly acceptable to scratch them whenever necessary, but as women, we would be looked at as having bugs or something...that's life, I guess lol

    I have had this when my boobs were getting bigger during PG- *not trying to get you excited*. I just wanted to say what worked for me was the belly butter I was using. Bella B's tummy butter-- had an awesome anti-itch factor. :) HTH

    I get this every so often ever since I had my son.  I don't ever pay attention to where I am in my cycle when it happens, but I totally know what you're saying about it being embarrassing and *needing* to scratch!!  :)

    Def. know what your feeling!  I get them occasionally and all last cycle I had them!

    Same here!!

    imageMy Chart TTC since June 2011. BFP#1 5/9/12 EDD 1/19/13 MMC @ 9w3d D&E 6/25/12. Met with RE 12/2012 - Dx PCOS. 1/2013 Clomid 100mg + HCG trigger + TI = BFP#2!! Due 10/22/13! FX this little bean sticks!

    I used to get them all the time before DS, but I don't recall when in my cycle it was. Ugh, I feel for you, it sucks.

    BFP # 1- DS ~ TTC #2 since Jan. 2012 - BFP # 2 - "Baby Elsie" - Blighted Ovum - D&C August 22, 2012 at 7w3d, BFP # 3 - CP - December 30, 2012, BFP # 4 - CP - March 19, 2013 ~ First RE Appt. 4/24/13 Med cycle #1: 50mg Clomid and Trigger shot = BFN. Med. Cycle #2: 6 cysts found. No meds/rest cycle. Trying on our own = BFP # 5! Beta #1 = 77, Beta #2 = 129 Beta #3 = 94 - CP - July 2, 2013. BFP # 6! Beta#1 = 21, Beta#2 =58 Beta#3 = 134. U/S shows heartbeat of 142 at 7w2d!

    Mine get very sensitive around ovulation so it could just be that something is irritating them.

     

    When I was pg and they were growing they did get itchy then too, but that wasn't the nipple, it was the whole thing lol
