What?! It caught me so off guard that I actually told her. I am still kicking myself for that. I guess I'm just not used to not answering her questions. I don't understand how she thought that was an appropriate thing to ask me. Very weird.

My favorite response (and this works, even when you're not pregnant and people ask you weird questions) is just to smile sweetly and say "why do you want to know?".
It doesn't sound rude to me. Maybe it was the way the boss said it. I know that my director has asked me about it because she knew I was getting sick all the time and she was seriously concerned for me. Perhaps they sounded rude asking it but it wasn't meant to be.
R u and ur boss close? Is it a she? And does she have kids ? I find most women with children ask this question as frequently as "how r u feeling" just another one of those pg questions....

I was asked this question only twice ever, and I'm on my second baby. Second time was by my endochrinologist.
First time was by the benefits admin at my old job, who acted as self-appointed Food/Weight/Exercise police towards the company's diabetic and overweight employees. Her boss and I had a talk about that.

My boss told one of my coworkers that I shouldn't eat a lot so I don't get fat. All because I was eating a bowl of cereal at work, cheerios at that. He thinks just because his wife is a health nut and works out all the time to stay in shape that we all do apparently. He's such a d-bag.

Just sharing in case it happens again.
