  • Mine has been killing me too. It's like a dull ache that comes on every once in awhile. If I rest a little bit it goes away but comes back if I do to much. It's really weird.

  • me too!  i find that getting up, walking around and stretching help a lot.  also, just resting on my side with a pillow between my legs relieves some of the soreness too. i'm only 7 weeks and dreading this getting worse.
  • Not this early I didn't

With my LO from about 20 weeks on I had sciatic and horrible tailbone pain. I started maternity early b/c I couldn't sit in my work chair anymore. I would cry when I would stand up it hurt so bad.

  • oh it's all pregnancy related right now.  I read up on it last night and was informed that as you progress through your pregnancy all those muscles in the pelvic area (and those that stretch/wrap around your hips to the tailbone) are all stretching which can cause the tenderness.  My chiropractor has also told me that since I had a sciatic problem in college, he is taking special care of that area since it's already gone on me once, and has been tender since.  JOY!  my heating pad last night made it feel a gazillion times better.

  • I've been waking up in the middle of the night with pain in my tailbone, usually after sleeping on my back. I have never felt this pain before pregnancy and was going to ask my dr about it when I see him in a few days. I guess it would make sense that the pain comes from everything growing/stretching in that area.
