I am kinda bummed out about this 6 lb weight spike between 19.5 weeks and 21.5 weeks...I found a few articles that say a sudden spike around 20 weeks is normal. Is it happening to anyone else?
I count my calories, eat SUPER healthy, and work out pretty intensely 5 times a week...I don't know what else I could do...maybe it is normal???

In my last pregnancy I had only gained 7 lbs at 20 weeks and then at 24 weeks I had gained another 8 lbs (up 15 at that point). I was SHOCKED and my OB asked if I did anything different, but I didn't. I was exercising 3-5 days a week, eating healthy, nothing out of the blue. Well, I ended up just having that one spurt and only gaining 30lbs the entire pregnancy.
Once I told my OB that I hadn't done anything different, she wasn't too concerned, try not to stress...probably just a growth spurt!
I have done almost exactly as you have! I have gained 5 lbs between 19.5 and 21 weeks! Before that, I had gained about 10 pounds total, but only 2 pounds since 12 weeks (I gained a lot early on). I feel like more of it went to my butt and thighs than my belly though
I eat semi-healthy, no strict diet but nothing different than my normal diet. It has bummed me out as well

I did stop weighing, and decided to only weigh once a week now. Thankfully I only gained 1/2 a lb since last week, for a total of 14.6.
I don't restrict my eating -- I net between 1800 and 2300 cals a day, and 2000 is maintenance for my pre pregnancy weight...I am very close to the maintenance number every day...I eat when I am hungry and when I feel like a treat, but never overboard.
I am just not going to worry about it any more. I will keep doing my active things and know that it WILL come back off after she arrives!
