Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Source or finding trustworthy and caring baby sitter?

I don't have a lot of family in the area and we live 40 miles from the closest Grandparent who works, and to be honest...I don't think my MIL would do things the way I want them done.

Where can I find a reliable and trustworthy help?  Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

  • If you belong to a church that might be a good place to start.  Otherwise my mom's group always recommends Care.com.  I haven't tried it personally, but several ladies have and give great reports.

  • I would try church, moms group, care.com or even local universities or nursing schools. Check out your YMCA as well.

  • I don't know if you use daycare center or not but our providers babysit in  evening/weekends.  Its great b/c baby knows them and I know they are cpr certified etc.

If you don't use DC maybe ask a friend who does and see if their providers do this?
