FI and I really like this name for a boy, and no it's not completely made up but very obscure. We're not sold on using it as a full name and are trying to come up with something we could shorten. I know this isn't the way you all usually do things...Still we're curious if we can figure something out.

Remi, short for Remington is close...don't know if you would consider that. Alvarez, Perez, Ramirez, Reznick are suggestions.

Reza is an Arabic name--maybe go with that and use Rezie as a NN?

Makes me think of Trent Reznor too.

I'd avoid Rez, which is the nickname for a tribal reservation. A Rezie is usually someone who lives on the reservation and a rez runner is their vehicle.
