Cloth Diapering

Are there different kinds of fleece?

I'm considering making some fleece liners for our prefolds.... This might be a stupid question but are there different kinds of fleece? Like do they use the kind of fleece that you can use to make blankets where you cut the edges and tie them together?  Or is that fleece? I guess I'm not a fabric person!!!

Re: Are there different kinds of fleece?

  • yes there is!!! For diaper purposes use a polyester fleece, aka anti-pill fleece. It doesn't hold moisture, so it gives that stay-dry feeling. :)

  • if you can get microfleece, it's going to work better for liners because it's thinner.  Thicker fleece will repel moisture to a point and won't wick it away as fast.
