  • (((HUGS))) going out to ThereBeDragons and BOTB32010.  We're thinking of you!

Update:  I went to my baseline and passed with flying colors... so I started stims last night!  150 Follistim, 75 Menopur.

Any fun plans for the weekend?  Not really!  I've had a cold for about a week so I'm going to try and rest up and finally get well so my body can be healthy and focus on making eggs!  Unfortunately I have to work today but I'll mostly be working from home on the couch.

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now?  I had an insane day yesterday.  One of my favorite goats died, leaving behind orphaned twins who are 5.5 weeks old (too young to be weaned, but too old to easily take a bottle.)  MH rushed the goat to the vet while I was 1.5 hours away at the RE, but she was dead by the time he got there.  So I spent most of yesterday crying... not exactly a great and hopeful start to this cycle.  And now I have to focus on getting the LOs to drink from a bottle so they won't die.  The boy took to it right away but the girl hates it and only drinks to avoid drowning!  (We have a nipple that pretty much streams out to help teach them.)

So... yeah.  I feel like this is "a bad sign" already.  Last time, I had a disaster with baby chicks the morning of my disastrous ET.  So I'm kind of worried that this cycle is doomed from the start.  :(

Nothing to really update right now. I should be starting stims on Tuesday, yay!!! QOTD: as far as weekend plans goes, not too much planned! MH and I are on our way to Binghamton soon to cheer on a friends brother in their championship varsity basket ball game. As far as how I'm feeling: physically I'm bloated from the lupron but my headache is better today thank goodness! Emotionally I am anxious and excited to see how this cycle plays out for us. I am feeling very optimistic!

  • Update: Had my ER yesterday... It went pretty well. They were able to get 5 eggs, so I'm just waiting for the call today to see how many fertilized.

Any fun plans for the weekend?: Not really, just kind of laying low, still feeling kind of crampy.

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now?

Physically feeling okay. Kind of disappointed at the number of eggs retrieved. My issue is tubal IF, I've never had issues ovulating or "getting pregnant," so I'm just confused as to why my ERs are always so low. This is my second IVF, my first one only yielded 5 as well, ending in only 1 frostie.

  • I started Lupron on Thursday-those little shots sting!! Last bcp is Monday, then hopefully stims at the end of the week. I'm so excited to get this going!

No big plans this weekend, just taking it easy.

I feel alright. I had a headache pretty much all afternoon yesterday, so I'm hoping that's not going to be a constant Lupron s/e for me.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

Sorry to be a stalker... I wanted to say how sorry I am about your sweet lil goat.  :(  Praying the babies thrive under your loving care!

My prayers are also with you for this cycle!   A friend of mine lost her incredibly loved lifetime horse (the horse was literally older than her, she had her for her entire life!).  She got pregnant in the midst of the loss... and everyone is telling her their own stories of loss around the time of pregnancy.  She feels now that the baby is a gift in some way - from her mare, or God or the universe, somehow maintaining the balance...  I am wishing that something similiar is at work here for you.  Not that someone has to die for you ... realizing this is sounding crazy.  I guess I am just wishing for some fairness in the very unfair situation of IF!

    Big hugs!

Awww Star thank you so much.  You are not a crazy sounding stalker lady -- this post was completely sweet and actually made me feel better!  I just came back in from feeding the twins, and actually got the little girl to drink from a bottle this morning, which is huge!  I still have to shove the nipple into her mouth (while she's screaming and acting like I'm trying to kill her) but once it's there she's like 'oh. yeah. I'm starving. this is milk. okay.'

The poor things are hoarse from yelling for their mama.  Totally breaks my heart.  But I'm praying that after a rough start to the year (I've been to the vet on an emergency basis way too many times) my luck may just turn around...

  • update - Shots started this morning, I am on 150 of Menopur and 150 of Follistim.  The RE did not give me big enough syringes so I had to do the Menopur in 2 shots, so my husband is going to get his hands on some bigger ones for me so we can minimize the stabbing.  I seriously love being married to an RN.

QOTW - I'm going to a potato party tonight (everyone has to bring a dish with potatoes).  Other than that we are just hanging out with family.  DHs grandpa is in failing health so we have had a lot of out of town family coming and going to visit him.

    TTC since 2010

lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs

    FET currently on hold

  • UPDATE: Our schedule was pushed 5 days. ER now scheduled for 3/10..ET 3/15(?) Our donor had an u/s yesterday with 22 follies.  They measured 6 of them, all measured at least 10.  She has another appt tomorrow.

QOTD:  no fun weekend plans. DH just returned from a week away, so some quality down time is in order!

EMOTIONAL/PHYSICAL feelings: Emotionally, I'm holding for now.  The 5 day move was a little disappointing, but trying to stay focused on the big picture. Getting anxious for everything to happen but also terrified too.  I'm diabetic and have not been having "perfect" blood sugars, so that makes me nervous too. Oh and I'm starting to freak myself out about the PIO shots that will be starting soon. Any and all suggestions on that topic would be greatly appreciated!!!!

    Sending good thoughts to all!!!!!

  • HUGS to BOTB and ThereBeDragons!

GL to those in the 2ww!

Update:  Not much today.  Have my first two estrogen patches on and dropped my Lupron to 10u.

    Questions of the Day:

Any fun plans for the weekend?  I'm supposed to take DH out to dinner tonight to celebrate the end of his February "diet" (which consists of eating almost nothing but canned chicken, tuna, and rice).  I'm an assistant director for the musical at school, and we head into dress rehearsal starting with two runs of the show from 1:00-10:00 tomorrow.

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now?  Physically fine - just a little bloated, thought the Lupron is still causing me to break out like a teenager.  I'm having a small AF after stopping the BCP's, which was really messing with my emotions.  I was bawling on the way home from work the other day since I was so tired and stressed.  Today, though, I'm feeling really excited and positive.  I'm on the up hill of the roller coaster today!

ETA:  So sorry about your goat and her babies, Farmerlynda!

Veggiechick - big congrats to you!!!

  • Lurking in to give big hugs to BOTB and ThereBeDragons. I am so sorry ladies.

Lynda! I am also so sad to hear about your goat. That is just heartbreaking! Please don't take it as a bad sign! Focus on getting those babies healthy. Hopefully that maternal instinct coming out to save the goats will help your body prepare for pregnancy. Love and hugs and praying for the little ones!

farmerlynda, sorry for your loss :(

Yesterday was my u/s and BW and lining was at 11.2 and beautiful! so happy. now we're in a "holding pattern" until the donor's retrieval which is hopefully in the next 4-5 days. I am going to call on Monday for an update with her so i can count down the days.

No big plans for the weekend, just a lot of relaxing. We just got back from a long walk with our dogs, which was nice.

Emotionally I am feeling very anxious and it's incredible to believe that as early as late next week I could be PUPO! We're beyond thrilled and looking forward to more successes in the process. So far, it's been uneventful, and we'd like to keep it that way. Wishing our donor much success and thanking heavens for her every day. Physically I am kind of bloated but otherwise feeling good. Tired.

    GL to all!

  • Update:  Triggering tonight!  Yay!  I have 10 measurable follies, which is great.

Plans: My riding team is at Regional Finals this weekend, so I am coaching today and tomorrow.  They're kicking butt so far.

Emotionally I am doing well.  Physically I feel like shiit- my whole abdomen hurts, my head hurts, I feel dizzy and just yucky overall.  Doesn't help that I caught a nasty virus last week, which led to a cold sore the size of Texas.  Basically I am a huge mess right now.

    Me: 31 DH: 30
Dx DOR (AMH .49), Stage 3/4 Endo, Septate Uterus
After 2 years, numerous tests, abdonimal surgery, and 2 IVF cycles, we are so grateful to be expecting.

(((HUGS))) going out to ThereBeDragons and BOTB32010.

I'm so sorry to hear of your goatie :(  What type of goats do you raise?

    Me: 31 DH: 30

    Questions of the Day:

Any fun plans for the weekend? Just finished cleaning the house which entailed scrubbing the grout in the bathroom, one small tile at a time.... need to go outside to help DH fix the sprinklers so we can plant new grass seed as we pulled it all up last weekend. Dinner #3 tonight to celebrate DH Birthday and tomorrow a family thing.

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now? Really crappy. I still have not ovulated, it was CD21 yesterday and this delay means a delay to starting EPP and IVF#2. I need to go back to the RE on Monday for u/s and b/w#3 to see what is going on. Hate my body for this right now. If I need to wait one more natural cycle before I can start this, I need to hold off for 2 months as I have guests from England her in late April, I am travelling for work in early May and then have Mom here for 3 weeks in May. Fx RE does not make be hold over one more cycle.

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

  • So sad about your goat farmerlynda :( i know it's hard to think positive but we'll do it for you! I pray this #2 is it for you!

Update: FET has been pushed back to March 13 (tentatively at least). RE wants me on pills and patches longer which means I can't start progesterone shots till later. I'm on the verge of a huge project at work so I'm hoping no more setbacks.

Plans for the weekend: DH is at a bachelor party out of town so I came to stay with my mom and have a girls night with all the wives who were left at home.

How are you feeling: Physically feeling much better than when I was stimming. Still very emotional and sensitive! I'm feeling really down though about the massive weight gain. If something good comes out of it though, I won't mind a bit. I'll just have to work extra hard to get healthy.

    Me: 28, DH: 29
DX: DOR & major hormone imbalances; DH low motility
    4 Clomid cycles + Trigger = BFN
    2 Femara cycles + Trigger + IUI = BFN
    IVF 7R,5F; ET cancelled - high P4; Froze 3
    FET transferred 2 beautiful embies!
    Beta #1 - 2,353! Beta #2 - 5,000! It's TWINS!
Hayden River & Connor Jackson born at 34 weeks on October 19, 2012!
  • Update:  Finally done with those pesky bcps, going in for baseline Monday a.m. and will hopefully start stims Monday night!

    Questions of the Day:

Any fun plans for the weekend?  DH is still recovering from surgery, so we are just taking it easy.  Going to get out for a bit and go see Act of Valor later :)  Tomorrow I'll probably start organizing my million medications to get ready for this cycle.

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now?  Nervous, scared, and despite my best efforts, excited ;)  I'm feeling good about the changes for this IVF, and anxious to see how I respond to them.  Best of luck to my fellow Clovers!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your goatie :(  What type of goats do you raise?

I raise Nigerians and Nubians (which I just got in December).  Sadly the one that passed away was my first Nubian.  But I just fed the babies lunch, and both of them gulped the milk down, so that's good news!

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.

IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.

Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

Hooray!  That's so great that they are figuring it out.  My aunt raises Nubians over near Placerville- they are the sweetest and funniest goats, I just love them.

Lynda, sorry about your goat.  ((hugs))

Update:  I started out at 75 Menopur and 150 Gonal-F but bumped up to 150 Menopur/150 Gonal-F starting last night.  I add in Ganirelix tomorrow and go back Monday.  Hopefully there will be something going on by then.

Any fun plans for the weekend?  I have clinicals (I'm in nursing school) all day Saturday and have to study for a test all day Sunday.  :(

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now?  I'm only on day 6 of stims but already have a lot of pain in my ovaries.  I can't imagine how I'll feel by Thursday or Friday.  I'm an emotional wreck.  One minute I feel fine and the next I'm crying for no reason at all.  I'm really excited but also terrified that it won't work.  Ugh!

  • Hello my lucky clovers! I've been laying low the last few days, but I hate missing check ins!

Update: I took my last BCP today and I am officially excited (and terrified....and excited...) I go in for my baseline on wednesday.

Questions of the Day: Any fun plans for the weekend? Hubby and I went to the lake for a walk with our pup, we made rice free sushi (paleo diet maniacs!) and had a nice quiet night. TOmorrow I think we may hit a flea market! How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now? I am getting really excited. I am a bit panicky, but i think its the nerves.  Thinking of you all and hoping for tons of good news all around.

Update: So AF finally showed her face...yay! Monday I start 300 iui of Gonal F & 150 Menapur....sooooo ready to start :)

    QOTD:

Any fun plans for the weekend?  Not really, spent the day scrubbing the house from top to bottom so all I have to do is lighter cleaning while I'm cycling (one less thing to worry about).

How are you feeling (emotionally and physically) in your cycle right now? I am on a roller coaster, one minute I'm nervous, the next I'm excited, then scared, then happy...I really have to stop and take a breath sometimes and really try to center myself...I'm afraid of getting excited but can't help myself either...I don't know how we really do this to ourselves (I know why but it's the "how" that's crazy to think about).

Good Luck to all of you no matter what part of the process your going through (((hugs)))

BOTB32010 -- So sorry that you were cancelled.  I hope it works out with your recipient and schedule so that you are able to cycle again soon!

Roxie -- So sorry that your body continues to be uncooperative -- how frustrating!!!  FX that your RE won't hold you over!

Lynda -- So sorry to hear about your mama goat!  That's great that there's been improvement with the little one's and the bottle -- I do hope that they continue to thrive and that you are all able to move on from this bad situation soon enough! (And, YAY, for starting stims!!! I am so, so hoping that this cycle is a winner for you!!!)

Lots of sticky vibes going out to veggiechick and Gregermis on your 2WW!

Best wishes to everyone cycling or about to start!!!  Fingers and toes continue to be crossed for all my fellow Lucky Clovers!!!

QOTD/UPDATE:  This 2ww is pretty awful. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but not doing so great at it!  It is SUCH a long-shot for this to have worked.  Fortunately, I've got many family and friends who are remaining optimistic for me!  Will be glad once I have my beta on on Wednesday so that I can move on one way or another!
