lining in BG 4.0 vs. Thirsties

The lining in the BG 4.0 seems very soft and is holding up quiet well... I have 1 thirsties Duo Diaper and 1 thirsties Duo AIO and the lining in both of them seem like they are pilly or something after just one wash. 

Are the two made of different material or is it just a quality thing? I'm wondering if the thirsties are going to wear out sooner.

    My thirsties look terrible but work just fine.

    Thanks I was trying to decide between more 4.0s or more thirsties AIO I think maybe I'll get one of each!

    I'm a Thirsties Addict - I just bought 5 more of the Duo AIO.  The leakguard is AMAZING, I just a few days ago had to literally bathe the lower half of my child.  Teething poop revenge FILLED the diaper - we're even talking up across the front of his hip.  But not a DROP hit the kid's clothes!
