Experiences with Delestrogen Injections?

My RN said, "you aren't going to like these"...awesome! any feedback on this shot? Side effects? How painful are the actual shots? Is it similar to the intramuscular HCG shots or PIO shots?

Re: Experiences with Delestrogen Injections?

  • I was supposed to be on them for my FET, but was cancelled a couple of weeks ago - not sure when I'll be starting again.  They're IM injections, and my ART nurse said I was going to like that I only had to do them twice a week :)  My medicine came in a light blocking bag AND prescription bottle - so I'm guessing it's very sensitive to light.

They didn't mention any crazy side effects.

    Good luck!!

  • I had them every 3rd day for my FET. I honestly didn't notice any major side effects until I started PIO. (maybe a little breast tenderness?) As far as pain with the injection- I also didn't notice anything different than PIO. Good luck!

  • I didn't think they were too bad.  They feel the same as PIO going again but didn't leave me even close to as sore, plus they are not everyday.  It was harder once I did PIO too.
