I had planned to, but was put on strict bed rest. When I delivered at Prentice, they had lactation consultants at the ready. I was tandeming like a champ, though we are now just pumping. If you think a class would be helpful, go for it, but it is not really necessary.

I delivered at Highland Park Hospital, suburb of Chicago. Nice to see some Chicago MoM on here tho. Do you ladies belong to any MoM groups?? I just joined one this week!

There's a MoMs group through NPN and then there is another big group (they hold their annual resale on April 14th.) I belong to that one too. However, I was just telling my husband last night that I still think this board is the best resource.
I'd love to find MoMs in the area because I have zillions of questions.
DS #1: (Summer 2010) Gonal-F, Ovidrel, Endometrin & B2B IUIs (Hail Mary Cycle)
DC #2&3: IVF #1 (November 2011)
I took it. Not sure that it was really that worth it, is the regular class shorter? I thought 3 hours was way too long.
They went through the different positions and showed what a proper latch would look like, which was good info but probably the same you would get from the regular course.
In terms of the multiples portion, the best info I got was to hold off on tandem feeding until both babies and you were comfortable with feeding. Which I think makes a lot of sense.

Would you mind PMing me the info for those MoMs groups? Are you in the city? I've noticed a lot of the groups are in the suburbs.

Not yet but I intend to. Are you on the N Shore? Your twins' names are cute, I have a friend whose full name is Eoin Finn.

I didn't deliver at Prentice, but I did take a regular breastfeeding class because my hospital (St. Alexius) didn't offer multiples breastfeeding class. I thought it was fine. The instructor went through things for me, but in reality, it was the LC in the hospital that helped me the most. Plus, after release, I went to the hospitals breastfeeding support group for several weeks with all my questions.
Proud to say I'm still tandem nursing
Which group has the resale on 4/14? I would LOVE to go!
