O.M.G!!!
We were selected last week and matched with our birth mom yesterday after having a lunch meeting with her on Tuesday! And the crazy exciting part is that our baby girl is due March 4! Yes, this weekend. Target, Pottery Barn kids, all stores baby related, be aware of the crazy woman with her credit card out and a wildly excited look on her face! She alone may jump start the national financial crisis!
We are so excited, stressed, happy, numb, you name it. But most of all, we just pray for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. WE ARE FINALLY GOING TO BE PARENTS!
I will share more once we bring her home....

DD1 was a quick match (after a long wait).... the craziness was great though!
Thanks ladies. We are over the moon. Both the hubs and I have so much real work to get done ( or at least to get us current) at both of our places of employment, but both of our employers are AWESOME. I will be going on leave until next school year, and he will take some time off in between grandparents visits!
In one day, I got the clearance from the head and neck specialist that the mass was gone and we were selected by our birth mom...God is good!
I just got major chills! I am so excited for you and can't wait to hear about this sweet baby!!!! Don't worry, there's not that much stuff that you need to for a newborn, not everything had to be ready. Enjoy the next few days. Go on a date night with DH, it might be awhile before it happens again!!!!

My #1 Favorite thing to dress DD in those first few days were longsleeved onsies from Gymboree that have the little foldovers to cover their hands.
I am pretty sure the one that says "Baby Makes Three" is still on clearance online!

Congratulations! We remember this time fondly. We adopted about 22 months go and the time from being notified until we picked up our little bundle of joy was some of the best memories.
Take your time and enjoy this. But we have to say it only gets better. (less sleep but better:-)
IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer
Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.
