I'm going crazy! Vent...

I need to not look things up online, has me thinking everything is unsafe, there's just so many conflicting things when it comes to babies, especially in terms of preparing bottles/formula. I'm so stressed. Thank goodness DH is the exact opposite of me and in the mindset that babies have been raised forever with much less solid info than we have and they're fine. I hope this feeling goes away, until then a glass of wine might calm my nerves!

  • Step away from Google! I had to tell myself the same thing, and had to stop looking things up. Your DH is right. Enjoy your glass of wine!
  • This is a vent I can COMPLETELY understand! I'm enjoying a glass of wine with you! Let's see what have I looked up today: Baby Carriers, Read TONS of review on the Rock N Play, & other small misc things. But I did put down the parenting style books! :-) Let's now enjoy our babies! (well I will at least, my little guy is still up.)

  • Omg me too!! Every free chance I get I'm on my phone looking things up and all it takes is one bad story/review to get me all worked up and worried. DH is always telling me to put down my iPhone and get sleep instead. Much needed glass of wine... Or two

  • I hear ya - books are the same, I find. One book says one thing, the next says the opposite. I usually just end up doing whatever I think is best, bc as someone said, there are usually no "right" answers.

While alcohol that is in your system will turn up in breastmilk, when it leaves your system it leaves the milk as well.  As long as you don't feed/pump while it is in your system feel free to enjoy that glass of wine!  If your husband is still afraid, they sell alcohol test strips to test for alcohol in breastmilk at Babies R Us.
