Small scare this morning

So I went in for a follow-up today to last week's appointment where my doctor got me paranoid about my cervix. My cervix is the same as last week so he is assuming that I am just one of those peoples whose outer "Os" just doesn't close right again. 

The scary part came when the nurse couldn't find the baby's HB with the doppler. I didn't use mine yesterday so I got sort of worried when she left the room to get a second doppler. 

Then she kept searching and searching and searching. I would have been completely a wreck except I could hear a few movements through the water. 

I finally told her to check by my pubic bone and what do you know, there was the baby with a beautiful HB of 150. Next time I feel like they should just let me do it. Thank God it was there though! RE appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping she will maybe check between the legs for me. :)

    LOL. We have a lot of trouble I think because I have an anterior placenta. My trick is to put the doppler practically on my pubic bone and angle the head of it back towards my tummy a bit. I can usually find it somewhere in that general area.

    Oh, and the lady was pressing so hard that Lovenox bruises from like two months ago (that are barely visible) were hurting afterwards.

    I have an AP too and my MW still has trouble finding it. There were a few times I had to tell her where to try and sure enough I was right. Glad she was able to find it (with your help).

    Well I am glad you know where to and how to find it! :) jeez stupid lady! Hope your bruises stop hurting.

    Ugh, it's terrifying when they can't find it!  There have been a couple times when I've wanted to grab the wand myself and show them how! haha!  Glad everything turned out a-ok though!

    The doc's and nurses should just ask us where to look for our LO's!  I always feel the same way, and it takes forever for them to find the HB.  So glad it was there and beating strong!  Hope everything goes well with the RE tomorrow!
