First, I thought it said manitee and I thought "WTF, Who has a manitee?"

I think it's a great idea. I wouldn't take DS1 to see The Vow but I would definitely go with a mom friend and our smaller LO's since they wouldn't be watching or understanding the movie.

Thoughts?

I think it is a pretty cool idea. I really have no interest in seeing The Vow, but would think about it for another movie. I doubt any theaters in our area participate though.

The next one will be Mirror Mirror with Julia Roberts. I'm more likely to see that one.

At this age there is no way I could get J to sit still long enough to watch a whole movie.  That would have been awesome when he was only 2 or 3 months old though.

Yep, just like story time at the library and all the events at the zoo here too.  Stupid working for a living making us miss out on all the good stuff.

This.  It makes me so mad because I feel like I am missing out on so many things I could be doing with LO.  When I asked our library why they don't do things on the weekends for kids, they told me that it's too busy to do activities there on the weekends

This.  It makes me so mad because I feel like I am missing out on so many things I could be doing with LO.  When I asked our library why they don't do things on the weekends for kids, they told me that it's too busy to do activities there on the weekends  

I have a dr appt Monday morning & J has one that afternoon, I had thought about trying to go to the library's story time between appts, but then I realized there would be no time for lunch or nap.

I know, right?  I would miss most of the movie trying to keep Lulu entertained or quiet.  It doesn't sound anything remotely enjoyable to me.  Now, if she was younger and not moving around, definitely.  But I'm not going to pay money for a movie where I'll be chasing after my daughter and missing half the movie.  I'd rather wait for netflix and nap or just pay for the babysitter.

These were my initial thoughts too. If only they had this when our babies were tiny. This would've been a great way to get out of the house during maternity leave. At this point it sounds about as pleasant as taking a 2-hour plane ride with her.

yeah this would not work out for us. hazel's a psycho. also, neither SO nor i have been to the movies since before i got pg. movie theaters are just such a rip off.

There is no way I could have taken Jack even when he was 2-3 months old.  Up until 6 months he was a non-stop screamer and then after 6 months he's been a non-stop mover.  So unless he is sleeping movies are a no-go!
