Let's talk Diaper Bags

I am looking for a large tote or diaper bag that does not look like a diaper bag. I went the traditional-looking diaper bag route with DS, but, this time around I want something more chic (hoping I can use the bag after baby for other purposes).

Have any favorites you would like to share?

When I had my twins, I was REALLY into Coach and wanted a Coach diaper bag but they were too small to carry things for 2 newborns. I was at the outlet one day with my Mom and Coach has a weekender bag (as they call it) and it was on the clearance area for 50% off. It does not look like a diaper bag, it's one solid color (gold) and does have 3 spots on the inside that I used for bottles plus the large inside zipper pocket. Everything else just kind of fell into place on the inside.

It was only $100. If you have a Coach outlet near you, search for one. I don't use it anymore but it is a great weekend bag for packing for an overnight or 2 night stay somewhere.

I don't know what you consider chic, but Vera Bradley has some really nice looking gigantic tote bags that can easily be repurposed after the diaper bag stage - and they're washable which is always a plus...

I got my diaper bag from Coach. It's a white patent leather with blue inside. Comes with a changing pad. It was 50% off at the outlet so I got it for $240. It can easily be used as a regular large purse later on.

Some of the non-leather ones were only $160, but I opted for the leather because I felt like it'd be easier to clean/wipe off.

The ones I've registered for (one large, one small) are backpack-style.  I wanted DH to have no problem carrying them, plus they're easier to manage on your back as opposed to over-the-shoulder style.  And they carry a ton of stuff.

This, but mine is black. They must have been having a mega sale at the outlet here b/c my total with tax was only $149. I will use it for myself after.

When I was pregnant with DD, my sister bought me the Fleureville Lexi Tote diaper bag since she had one and I loved it! Although I think when she got mine, they were selling out so not sure if you can still purchase them.

Both my sister and I got lots of compliments on the bag since it almost looks like a purse, they had tons of different designs too. Here is a picture of mine:

This! Although I am super picky so none of those bags would do - so I'm checking out our Coach Outlet this weekend

I have a G diaper bag & would buy another if I lost it because I can't wait to use it as a camera bag after kids are done with it! it's the best. looks more like a sport bag than anything like a Vera Bradley but its functional & cool. and a sweet diaper bag. you could always just use a backpack too.

Honestly, I carry an adjustable canvas bag every day for work (similar pic below, but in medium gray with light gray interior(, and it can be worn over the shoulder or cross-body (which I prefer since it lets me be hands-free), and it has a lot of compartments and is quite roomy. I'm going to try using just that and see how it works, but I don't anticipate a legit diaper bag being better than what I already have.

I love my girly Petunia Picklebottom but sometimes I use (and my DH always uses) our Sugar Booger messenger style diaper bag. It is tan and corduroy. LOVE it!

My MIL bought me a Coach diaper bag. It's great! Then we bought another one becasue I knew I didn't want to take my Coach diaper bag to the hospital (worried about it getting taken) so we bought a Carters diaper bag. They are great.

I am getting either a Timi and Leslie or a Petunia Picklebottom this time. Both brands shown below:

 

 

A little pricier but I use the bag every single day so I don't mind spending a little extra. I always hate when people say "why pay for something so expensive when it is just going to get disgusting", I can safely say after 17 months of using diaper bags I haven't had a single disaster yet that would render one useless.

I am really considering this bag by skip hop... But in the cherry blossom design. I don't care if I am having a boy or girl the bag is for me not them so I should like the design. 

I like this bag because it is cheap ( I would never spend $300 on a diaper bag!!!) but doesn't look horrid

I wanted to the same thing, so I found a large tote at TJ Max, inexpensive, very fashionable, and perfect for baby. It's a patent leather, dark purple. Looks nothing like a typical diaper bag.

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and just got it yesterday. I went to a thirty one party and ordered the all in one organizing tote. It is made out of thick sturdy canvas. Has mesh pockets on each end and has 5 other pockets all around. It comes in many different colors and prints, it only cost $25 and they come with a guarantee. It can also be machine washed. You can even have it personalized. It is the size of a tote bag. I'm in love with it. Think I might order a second one in a different print to switch it up too.
