Trip to L&D and Bedrest

I had my 34 week appointment today and had an ultrasound to check baby's growth since I was measuring 4 weeks ahead at my last check up.  Baby looks great and is at the perfect size, however my blood pressure was pretty high.  I have always had awesome blood pressure, so this was quite a surprise and two different nurses took it a total of 4 times to make sure they were right. 

My doctor sent me to L&D so they could monitor me for an hour and they also did some blood work.  Baby did great and had a good heart beat and was very active during this.  My doctor decided it would be best for me to be on bedrest until Monday when she could see me again to check on my blood pressure.

I am very happy that my baby is doing so well, but I have to say this really sucks.  I never had any problems with this pregnancy until now, so this took me by surprise.  I am confident that it will turn out okay and my doctor just wants to make sure I make it to 38 weeks, which isn't too far away now.  I just hope it goes back down enough for me to go back to work until baby decided to come.  I must think positive!!!

Hang in there, think positive, and rest rest rest! ?(btw, what was your BP????) ?Mine is always perfect but was elevated on Monday...she didn't seem too concerned, but of course it made me raise my eyebrows!

It was 144/94... this is why the nurse though maybe she messed up and had another nurse come and take it again.
