Dell XPS 14z is my lightweight laptop. Or you can get an ultrabook, which is the most lightweight around now.

Me too!  (DH is a kid too, right?) I mean it takes longer to load the bump and ask a question then googling.

Depends on your preference. But I would highly suggest looking at things in a store before purchasing....
