Where did this child get all this sass?

She's been something else today--not that it's any diff. from any other day. I had just told her to stop jumping on the couch when she decided to lay over the side and knocked the lamp off and broke it. I told her to sit down and not to move an inch. Then she wanted a pancake so my sister sat with her while I was in the kitchen. When I got back she yelled her new fav. phrase, "she hates me! Oh my goodness!" Still no idea where that came from. A few minutes later she told my sister, "I can't do this K. I can't sit still."

Let's not even discuss her parroting me lately. I really think I preferred it when she didn't talk. She's killing me. The worst part is sometimes I want to laugh and am standing there biting the inside of my cheeks trying not to crack a smile. I think my mom would say payback is hell.

Praise heavens it's almost time for a bath and bed.

Re: Where did this child get all this sass?

  • DD is the same way today. I hope she's over by tomorrow. DD pulled out her lightbulb out of her night light last night and has been sassy all day. Everything has been no or I don't like that.

I hope she doesn't like the candy tomorrow because I intend on eating most of it.

  • People think that the 2's are terrible.  It's really the 3's that are worse.  I swear, Jonathan is in time-out at least once a day and it usually gets to the point of having to go to a cool down in his room.  Once.a.day!  My sweet child has been replaced with a mouthy pre-teen-like-child.  My kid comes out with things like, "Don't look at me.", "Don't touch me", "You such a mean mom; go away!"
